Recover Now Expands Access to Care with $4.5M Investment in Longbranch Recovery’s Abita Springs Campus

Recover Now is proud to announce the completion of a $4.5 million expansion at Longbranch Recovery & Wellness Center in Abita Springs, Louisiana. This milestone reflects our continued commitment to expanding access to high-quality, compassionate addiction treatment across the Southeast.

The newly expanded residential campus is now open and accepting patients.

Expanding Capacity to Meet Growing Need

The project adds 20,000 square feet to the existing campus, increasing residential capacity from 32 to 58 beds. This expansion allows us to serve more individuals and families seeking support, without compromising the personalized, patient-centered care that defines our programs.

As demand for comprehensive addiction treatment continues to grow, this investment ensures that more people can access timely, evidence-based care in a supportive environment.

Advancing Whole-Person Healing

A key feature of the expansion is a new 1,850-square-foot wellness center, thoughtfully designed to enhance our whole-person approach to recovery. This dedicated space allows patients to engage in activities that support not only physical health, but also emotional and mental well-being, which is an essential part of building a strong foundation for lasting recovery.

By integrating clinical treatment with wellness practices such as fitness, mindfulness, and nutrition, we are able to provide a more balanced and comprehensive care experience. Patients can participate in structured movement and fitness programming, explore mindfulness techniques that help manage stress and triggers, and receive guidance on nutrition to support both physical healing and overall wellness.

This holistic approach recognizes that recovery extends beyond traditional therapy. By addressing the mind, body, and spirit together, we help individuals develop healthier routines, build resilience, and gain the tools they need to maintain long-term, sustainable healing well beyond their time in treatment.

“I’m so inspired by what this expansion makes possible,” said Emily Meyers, CEO of Longbranch Recovery & Wellness Center and Eating Disorder Treatment Centers (EDTC). “More people will be able to step into a space of support, hope, and transformation.”

Rooted in History, Built for the Future

Located on a historic property in Abita Springs, the Longbranch campus offers a unique setting that blends rich local history with a purpose-driven environment for healing. Originally home to a hotel and restaurant, the property carries a sense of character and charm that creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere for those beginning their recovery journey.

Throughout the expansion process, great care was taken to preserve the architectural integrity and spirit of the original space. Thoughtful design choices ensure that the campus maintains its historic feel, while incorporating modern updates that enhance comfort, safety, and functionality for both patients and staff.

The result is a space that feels grounded and restorative, while also meeting today’s clinical and patient care standards. By combining the character of the past with the advancements of modern treatment, Longbranch provides an environment where individuals can feel supported, at ease, and fully focused on their recovery.

“By honoring its past, we’re creating a powerful space where tradition and recovery come together,” said Chris Devine, Co-CEO of Recover Now.
